What Is Sizing Like at Arizona Love?

Arizona Love sandals run small — size up at least one full EU size from your usual. That's the single most important thing I can tell you before you hit checkout, and trust me, I learned it the slightly painful way (more on that in a second).
Arizona Love is a French label that's quietly become the cult sandal brand of anyone who wants that effortlessly boho, festival-ready look without actually trying too hard. Think colourful bandanas tied over EVA soles, shells and beads, recycled vintage cotton straps — the whole thing has this wonderful sun-baked, nomadic spirit that makes it look like you picked it up at a market in Formentera. Which, honestly, is exactly the vibe.
Arizona Love Sizing: The Key Things to Know
I ordered my first pair of Trekky sandals in my standard EU 39. Reader: they were tight. Not unwearably so, but tight enough that I was quietly annoyed for two days. Multiple reviews and stylists I trust consistently say the same thing — go up one full EU size, particularly on the Trekky range. The toe strap is fixed and non-adjustable, which is really where the issue lies; the main strap has adjustability, but if the toe box is snug, you'll know about it by lunchtime.
Size up one full EU size — if you're typically an EU 38, order a 39.
The main strap across the foot is adjustable; the toe strap is not, so toe fit is the critical measurement.
Arizona Love uses EU sizing only — there's no UK sizing on their own site, so you'll need to convert. A UK 5 is roughly EU 38, UK 6 is EU 39, UK 7 is EU 40.
If you're a half-size, always go to the larger full size when ordering from Arizona Love.
The EVA soles are wonderfully lightweight and mould very slightly with wear, but they won't stretch to save you if you've ordered too small.
The brand now sells through ASOS, Harvey Nichols, The Dressing Room, and their own site — all use EU sizing, which is consistent, so at least the guesswork is limited to that one-size-up rule.
The Arizona Love Aesthetic — Who Is It For?
Honestly? Arizona Love is for the woman who's done with boring sandals. Each pair is handmade in Paris using recycled cotton bandanas, shells, beads, and EVA soles made from recycled plastic. They sit somewhere between streetwear and resort wear — the kind of shoe that looks equally at home with wide-leg linen trousers in St Tropez as they do with a sundress at a UK festival (which, fair warning, will still likely have mud. The sandals will survive. Your dignity is your own concern).
The brand's SS26 collection draws inspiration from Formentera — lots of fluid shapes, light fabrics, and the kind of joyful colour that makes you feel like you should be somewhere warm. The Trekky Bandana is still the hero piece, but they've expanded into slides, mules, and accessories that all have that same maximalist-but-somehow-laid-back energy.
How Arizona Love Compares to Similar Brands

If you love Arizona Love but want a slightly different price point or style, here's how I think about the landscape:
High Street Picks
If you want that boho sandal energy on a more accessible budget, these are the brands I'd genuinely point you towards:
Mango — consistently brilliant for Mediterranean-inspired sandals every summer. Their beaded and strappy styles are well-made for the price and often sell out fast. Great Arizona Love alternative.
Zara — their sandal range is strong and trend-led. You'll often find bandana-inspired styles or flatform sandals that echo the Arizona Love spirit at a fraction of the price.
Anthropologie — if you love the whimsical, artisan feel of Arizona Love, Anthropologie is a natural step sideways. Their sandal edits lean heavily boho and are beautifully curated.
Urban Outfitters — very much in the same aesthetic universe. Great for festival sandals and embellished styles that feel current without breaking the bank.
Monsoon — often overlooked, but Monsoon's sandal game is genuinely good, particularly for embellished and beaded styles with that relaxed holiday feel.
Oliver Bonas — brilliant for quirky, independent-feeling accessories and shoes. If you want something a bit different from the usual high street, Oliver Bonas always delivers.
All Saints — for those who prefer their boho a touch darker and more rock-influenced. Excellent leather sandals and mules that feel more grown-up while keeping that free-spirited edge.
Premium Picks
Claudie Pierlot — the French label equivalent at a slightly higher price point. Beautifully made sandals with that same Parisian nonchalance.
Alohas — a Spanish sustainable shoe brand that I've become genuinely obsessed with. Made-to-order model means less waste, and their sandal styles are stunning. Sizing runs true to EU sizing here, unlike Arizona Love.
Luxury / Designer Picks
Ancient Greek Sandals — the gold standard for artisan, handcrafted sandals. Made in Greece with genuine leather, they're the grown-up cousin to Arizona Love's playful aesthetic. Worth every penny.
Miista — a London-based independent shoe brand doing really interesting things with form and texture. A brilliant discovery if you want something genuinely different from anything else on the market.

My Honest Verdict on Arizona Love
If you can get the sizing right — and now you know, so you can — Arizona Love sandals are genuinely special. There's a reason they've developed such a fierce following. They feel handcrafted because they are. They look like they cost three times what they do. And wearing them is the closest you can get to feeling like you've just hopped off a yacht in Ibiza while actually standing in a Sainsbury's car park.
My advice: order one full EU size up, choose your bandana print with zero shame (the brighter the better, in my opinion), and accept that you will be asked where they're from no fewer than four times this summer.
