What Is Sizing Like at Rouhi?

How Rouhi sizing actually works

Rouhi works on a simple XS / S / M / L structure rather than numbered sizes, and the brand's own guidance is consistent across the range: take your normal size. The magic is in the fabric. Most pieces are a polyester-elastane or mesh blend with a high stretch factor, so they're designed to move with you and pull in.

The knits and ribbed sets — these are the signature pieces and the most forgiving. The rib stretches generously, so they fit a range of shapes within each size band. Body-skimming by design, so if you prefer a looser drape, this isn't that label.
The stretch dresses (Mya, Zuri and similar) — true to size with a snug, sculptural fit. If you're fuller in the bust or hips, the stretch usually handles it, but go by your largest measurement.
Mesh and double-layered styles — slightly less stretch than the knits, so if you're between sizes here, size up rather than down.
Tailoring and blazers — these run closer to a structured fit, so check measurements against the size chart rather than assuming knit-level give.

Stylist tip: Rouhi is body-con by nature. If you love the look but want a touch more coverage, layer a knit dress over a slip or cycling shorts in a matching tone — it smooths the line and lets you move freely on a night out without tugging.

Between sizes? Here's what I'd do

Because the size range stops at L and the fits are close, sizing is the one thing worth getting right before you buy. My rules of thumb:

Knitwear and ribbed sets: size down if you want it really sculpted, stay true to size for comfortable.
Dresses: stay true to size; the stretch does the work.
Mesh or lined styles: size up if you're on the cusp.
Genuinely unsure: Rouhi answers sizing queries directly by email, and honestly, with a small independent label that's the smartest move — they know their own patterns better than any generic chart.

Caring for it (this part matters)

This is where I'll be the honest stylist friend: a lot of Rouhi is dry-clean only or marked very delicate, and the hand-dyed colours can vary piece to piece. My early fashion fail was bunging a hand-dyed knit in a 30° wash "on a gentle cycle" — it survived, but the colour shifted and it never sat the same again. Follow the care label to the letter, store knits folded rather than hung so they keep their shape, and you'll get years out of these pieces.
